The focus of the men’s ministry is to nurture and develop godly men by applying biblical principles to daily life. We are building men of God who impact their homes, their church, their communities, and their world with strength, power, wisdom, and authority. We endeavor to offer wholesome godly fellowship that empowers men of our church family to overcome all adversity and win more souls for Christ.

The men of Way of Escape will share the Gospel of Jesus Christ, reach out to other men who are lost, fellowship and develop a trusting relationship with each other, enhance our leadership skills, become true spiritual heads of our households, and lead our families by example.

All men of Way of Escape are a part of MAN UP. Join us as we embark upon the journey of doing God’s will! We want to be the men God has called us to be! All men are welcome to join us at our activities. Bring a friend.

Usher Ministry

The ushers of the house endeavor to ensure a comfortable and spiritual environment where everyone feels that they are welcome and loved. The ushers make sure that attendants feel welcome and loved and are able to worship the Lord in spirit and in truth, without distractions. Ushers assist the pastors and help them bring the vision of the house to fulfillment. We must be alert and attentive at all times so that we can move quickly in an emergency situation. We purpose to meet, greet and seat our members and guests with courtesy, friendliness and tact.

Our responsibilities include:

  • Doorkeepers – Guard the door at all times, meet and greet members and visitors with a smile and with uttermost hospitality

  • Aisle Ushers – Greet members and visitors with a smile and escort them to comfortable seats. Direct any walking traffic during service

  • Disciplinarians – Maintain order at all times during the service, and to take control of any distractions

  • Helper – Assist any people with physical challenges and to provide any other help that is needed during the service.

Nurses Guild/ Temple Décor

The Nurses Guild meets the needs of the Pastor, special guests, clergy, and pulpit staff through serving them as they minister to God’s people. We provide an environment that is conducive to communication between the Holy Spirit and the men and women of God. We also attend to the well being of the minister by providing a clean environment and nourishment as needed.

Youth Ministry – W.O.E. Warriors

Our mission is to train and teach our youth and young adults to know who God is and who they are in the Kingdom of God. We endeavor to equip them to be our future leaders in the Kingdom of God. We provide opportunities for our youth and young adults to be spiritually fed in a nurturing, positive environment. We help them stir up and develop their God given gifts. We welcome youth and young adults of all ages.

 

We are training our warriors to use their lives to magnify God and enhance the church with their gifts. Youth have personalized Sunday School Sessions, and Bible Study Sessions. Full participation is expected from all youth at Way of Escape.

The objectives of the Youth Ministry are to Help Youth in the following areas

  • Trust God and understand the three persons of God

  • Understand and Apply the Bible

  • Develop a Meaningful Prayer Life, Worship Experience, Godly Habits, Christian Morals,

  • Love Themselves as God Loves Them

  • Witness to Others

  • Build Relationships with Parents and Family

  • Understand the Vision of the House

  • Become Full of the Word

  • Experience the Holy Spirit and live Spirit filled

Sunday School Ministry

It is our mission to provide the church body with a systematic teaching of the Word of God and to provide its application in Christian life and service. Our objective is to promote church growth with strong moral conduct and character presenting and highlighting examples of faith, instruction for spiritual wellness form the Word of God.

New Members Ministry

Our mission is to develop “servant leaders” throughout the ministry and to provide support and structure for growth as Jesus’ disciples. We do this by preparing new members for discipleship with a spirit of excellence and sincerity. We endeavor to prepare each new member for doing God’s work at Way of Escape. New members will become familiar with the Vision, Mission, and Ministry of the House. We will do our best to help you learn all about your new church home.

Psalms 92:13 says, “Those that be planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God.”

Way Out Media Group Ministry

As the Audio/Visual ministry it is our call to allow the worship leaders to minister to the Body of Christ, and to reach lost souls. To achieve this goal, we agree to minister behind the scenes in providing for and anticipating the technical, physical, and spiritual needs of the ministry leaders. We must also commit ourselves to the Study and Involvement of the ministry. In doing so we ensure that God’s Word will go forth unimpeded to reach the ears, eyes and hearts of both the Body of Christ, and the unsaved in the city, state, nation, and world. As the Audio/Visual Team we must invest ourselves in the study of what we have been called to do with a spirit of excellence. “And whatsoever ye do, do [it] heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.” Colossians 3:23-24.

Music and Fine Arts Ministry

Praise Team:

The Praise and Worship Team renders praise and worship music after intercessory prayer.  In addition, the Praise and Worship Team also renders music when requested. The team is comprised of a small group of disciples who present strong qualities as a vocal leader.

It is our belief at Way of Escape that the Praise Team is a vital part to the ministry of this body of believers. Consequently, members should view their function as Ministers of the Gospel through music and song. Members should be responding to a call from God, our Father, to render this service as unto Him in a manner worthy of His calling.

Membership on the Praise Team (in any way) is a position of Christian leadership. The primary function then, is to lead, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, the congregation at hand in true worship. "God is Spirit and those who worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth". (John 4:24) We emphasize that our purpose and calling is that of leading others into the very presence of the Living God. There is no calling issued for "performances" and "showmanship" - - only true praise and worship. Therefore, members must strive continually through prayer and example to be pure of heart before God and others.

Way of Escape endeavors to maintain a musical program of excellence. We desire to have a praise/worship team(s), including singers and musicians, choirs for special performances, dramas, and live recordings of praise/worship. Special programs for younger children will also be available at times.

Praise Dance:

The ministry of dance is outward expression of movement to minister to the people of God and set the atmosphere for the Word of God to go forth. The Way of Escape Dance Ministry embraces the privilege of leading the people of God into His transforming presence through spontaneous and choreographed praise, warfare, travailing, celebration, and worship dance. The dances are ministered as an outpouring of a personal and intimate relationship with the Lord.

The Way of Escape Dance Ministry has been anointed and appointed to set the captives free. As they minister to the multitudes, deliverance and praise are manifested.

The ministry is comprised of a close-knit family of believers that bears one another in love, endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

Worship Enhancements:

Way of Escape allows the people of God to minister in the various ways in which God has gifted the ministry. We have sign language, pantomime, spoken word and drama. We are excited about the wide selection of gifts and talents that God has blessed us with.

Single’s Ministry

Way of Escape’s Singles Ministry known as the “Singles-In-Preparation” Ministry (often called SIP) focuses on the never married, the divorced and the widowed.  Our mission is to provide an avenue where single adults will grow in their knowledge of and devotion to God that will in turn impact the surrounding community and the world for Christ.

    Through the Singles Ministry, we want to cultivate one’s passion for God and a lost world and to equip single Christians with a vision and ability for ministry. Our goal is to help singles become aware of their significance and purpose in Christ.   Further, the goal of this ministry is to promote greater fellowship among single Christians. It is our desire to bring wholeness and increased spirituality to single Christians and to provide interaction between single Christians in order to support and help each other.

    We strive to educate the single Christians on God’s expectations of them as single people in this present day world.  Ultimately, we want to persuade singles to “let nothing separate them from the Love of God” according to the Romans Chapter 8.

The Way of Escape Singles Ministry welcomes ALL singles who would like to come and share in our ministry. You will be truly blessed by this ministry as we will be blessed by your presence!

Evangelism Ministry

"Ambassadors for Christ"

The Evangelism Ministry of Way of Escape spreads the Gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the community.  The disciples who participate in the Evangelism Ministry take the spirit of Way of Escape from the pews to the streets to tell a dying world about a living Savior.  The Evangelism Ministry believes that evangelism is NOT an option for the church of Christ.  Evangelism is a responsibility that all Christians MUST live up to. This responsibility was given to all Christians by Jesus Christ himself. Jesus stated in Matthew 28:19-20, "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you."  The Evangelism Ministry also believes that we are all "Ambassadors of Christ" according to 2 Corinthians 5:20.

Prayer Ministry

John 5:14-15 “This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us – whatever we ask – we know that we have what we asked of Him.”

The purpose of prayer ministry team is to actively encourage and promote prayer within the life of the church. By being open and responsive to the working of the Holy Spirit, we pray that God’s love, guidance and healing power would be released for the benefit of His people and to His glory.
